Bag is smooth and a little shiny just as pictured. Held up through airports, a rain shower, and a week in New York. Looks and feels like good quality, sturdy nylon. Not a bookbag (part of the appeal), but more than enough room for day trips when traveling (umbrella, jacket, water bottle and sunscreen inside main compartment, daughter's dance shoes, etc.) and lots of smaller pockets, plus one on the backside for security. All zippers are metal and work well, with a double zipper featured on main compartment. Nothing fancy... just does a great job for the money and looks good.

It’s the perfect backpack for when you’re transitioning from a diaper bag to something bigger than a purse. I love the size and it is so lightweight. The nylon makes it look more expensive than it is. Lots of compartments and pockets, and the side pockets are good for your phone and little water bottle. I’m so happy with this and I love the color!

Love this little backpack. It is stylish, comfortable to carry, and has sooooo much room. I recently used it on a trip to NH. It fit my Canon SLR, a book, makeup, my cellphone, cellphone charger, power block, kleenex, snacks, water, and more. Highly recommend.
