Best acoustic lap steel strings
I've used these strings on my 1929 square neck National Tricone for years, changing before every gig or recording session so have used hundreds, maybe thousands of sets as they are, in my opinion, the best sounding strings for playing acoustic lap steel guitar. They are for playing with a steel bar and a raised nut, not fingers as some other reviewers seem to think. The gauges are more suited for G low bass tuning ( D on 6th string) rather than the high bass ( G on 6th string) as stated on the packaging.

GREAT WARM SOUND OF THE BLUES, JUST THE SOUND YOU WANT !
If you play Resonator guitar, and keep looking for the strings that give you the sound you want then these John Pearce strings are the real deal. Don't just take it from me, but recently talking to a leading USA bluesman, he never uses anything but these, and phosphor bronze just give that edge and tone to your playing, and at a very fair price. Using them both at home(unplugged) or on stage (plugged) they prove what excellent all round strings they are. I use a metal bodied resonator and these strings are better than pretty well any others I've used before. Though like all strings wipe them dry with a soft cloth once you've finished playing and retain that tone until its time to change them again. Recommended strings to provide the tone your looking for !
