## Description

SINGER mending fabric in black is a large iron-on patch sized to suit multiple needs, from mending clothes with multiple tears and small holes, to repairing large rips, to reinforcing worn areas such as knees or elbows. The patch, sized 7 inches by 16 inches, is iron-on, no sewing required, and made of a polyester/cotton blend that is durable yet soft. With permanent adhesive on one side, the interfacing allows for invisible mending. Mending fabric is flat, with no telltale textures or patterns. Simply iron-on the fabric for a washable, super sealed mend. To use, preheat iron for five minutes on “High” or “Cotton”. Use a dry iron ONLY; never use steam or exceed safe ironing temperature. Heat and smooth the fabric to be repaired first, and then place the patch with the adhesive side down. Press firmly and evenly for 45 seconds, repeating around the edges to ensure that the patch adheres well. After cooling, test the edges to make sure the patch is sealed all the way around. If needed, or if lifting occurs after washing, repeat the steps above. Not intended for use with plastic, nylon, rayon, or monofilament polyester fabrics.

Review: This works well even on shredded fabric. - I used this to mend a shred in a filmy dress of my granddaughter's (new puppy). It was very easy to use. The instructions are clear. It turned out really well. It is white so you will have to put it behind but I arranged the shredded pieces over the top and the soft flower pattern causes it to disappear. It has not been washed yet but it looks pretty sturdy. I am sure I will use it again.
Review: First application, time will tell. - Update: It’s been 5 months and I’ve washed the blouse at least once a week (a few weeks up to three times), the patch is still perfect! It is the same white color; no yellowing! The corners and edges are still adhered to the garment; no rolling! The cuts that I made on the patch have not frayed either! I’m very impressed with the value I’ve gotten out of these patches! I highly recommend this product! I have put another patch on a garment with a scratchy tag that was sewed into the seam so you can’t cut it out. Covering the tag with this patch has been wonderful! I did cutoff as much of the tag as I could so that I could iron on and have it adhere to the garment as much as possible. This has worked as well and it’s been washed for about 3 months and still no issues! It’s nice to know products can still be made with quality and not everything is junk! ———original——- So I used this for the first time and ironed on a patch where a blouse got ripped at the collar from a hanger that had a nail or staple sticking out of it at a hotel (this why I like the plastic hangers). So I cut out a patch 3 times the size of the tear and ironed it on from the inside and then a small patch on the outside to just cover the tear. It looks good and it is completely covered by the collar. I like how thin these are and once ironed on they are a bit translucent so you can see the blouses pattern through it and it seems to move with the cloth instead of being rigid like most patches. With its ability to be on the inside and the thinness of the patch, I really cannot feel it on my neck. So I’m extremely happy with this solution! The big test is how will it hold up in the washer and dryer! Most patches will start curling and losing their adhesive after a couple of washes so we shall see! But for now I’m very happy!

Iron needs to be HOT but not TOO hot - very hard to regulate! They do work ! Be careful or they will mess up your iron by melting on it. I was able to scrape the patch material off, while iron was hot.
