Also has flashcards in the back. Looking forward to the books that come after as well. Therr are also lessons included in the book. This is a great way to start learning Japanese.

I have been doing Duolingo (which I really like), but the writing and memorization went too fast on the app. This book is great—gives me ample room to practice and memorize each symbol. Also has flashcards in the back. Looking forward to the books that come after as well. Therr are also lessons included in the book. This is a great way to start learning Japanese.

It's not super video heavy, which is my personal preference and the shape practice and repeat aspects are extremely helpful. After going halfway through, I went back and ordered the next in the series. I hope it continues to be as helpful.
