We put this air purifier in our combo living/dining room area where there is lots of activity with 2 dogs and our grandson always playing. **Q: How often does the hepa filter last?** A: There are no Hepa filters in this air purifier. This product features multiple filters which can be cleaned by just rinsing them out with water, it's that simple. The purifier will let you know when it is time to clean the filters with water, let them dry, then just insert them again for air purification. The only one you CANNOT wash is the ozone filter, only vacuum that one. Just put it on Auto, and away you go, 24 air cleaning. **Q: How much electricity does it use for an hour?** A: Nothing drastic. The reason I chose this Nuwave air purifier, besides the good purification effect, is that it has Energy Star certification.
