I kept thinking my hip was out of place, but chiro adjustments only worked some of the time, obviously taking extra pressure off the area when I was truly out of whack. MRI solved the mystery. As I was Googling Glucosamine and other joint pain remedies I kept seeing people mention Collagen really helping their pain more. At my local health food store, one of the staff really touted this product, said it basically unscrambled the tight knot of the collagen formation so the body could utilize it. So of course I tried it. This was a few years ago. It was CRAZY helpful at reducing the pain. I took 3 on an empty stomach every night, and for a while I also took 3 when I woke up and waited 30 mins to eat (total of 6 a day.) I eventually lost ALL PAIN in my hip. Had no need of it for a long time--the improvement was permanent. Since then, every once in a while I manage to re-tweak the injury and I come back to this product. The guy at my health food store said he noticed an additional side effect of having improved vision, which he noticed when he woke up before he put his glasses on. I experience the same thing. It isn't lasting though, when I stop taking the Genacol I no longer wake up thinking that I must have forgotten to take out my contacts the night before.
