He chewed on it for days until he got the ends off and was very occupied and well behaved.My problem with them though is that the bag specifically says they are odorless and they are the furthest thing from it. They have a very strong odor that was almost unbearable in our small house. It only smelled the first few hours. Once he got to chewing the odor faded, but be prepared for the strong smell with it. If you can handle that problem it’s a great product for your dog. He gnawed for 75 minutes in one sitting, and there is still a lot of flavor left on the bone. The fat and meat is jerkied a bit onto the bone and really smells and looks roasted....not some food coloring meat color basted over the bone like other brands I have seen. The bag claims that it is low odor, but it smells like a big roasted bone, which is what it is!
