The thickness is good. The size is good. There is a slight indentation on the bottom, but otherwise is flat, which makes it excellent for mug warmers/hot plates. The strainer and lid are honestly just a bonus to me, and I bought a second one of these just for the mug itself.For the lid and strainer: I will say the lid is nice to have, and the strainer works well with larger leaves. It does not work well with finer teas. I can also tell it's delicate, so be careful when handling it.The only criticisms I have are small ones. If one wanted to make it PERFECT in my eyes, the base would be completely flat without the small indent, and it would be ever so slightly larger. Maybe 19 or 20 ounces, without changing the design much (going wider rather than taller to add a couple extra ounces). If there was a way to make the strainer able to handle finer teas that would be great too. But again, very small criticisms.That's basically all I have to say with this one.
