I'm reasonably good at makeup and love to try new things. Most foundations and concealers are fine. There are fine foundations at the drugstore. There are fine luxury foundations. There are some very good foundations, for reference some of my favorites are the Lisa Eldridge skin tint, the Prada foundation, and Merit's stick foundation) concealer. This foundation is bad. It makes pores look like gaping holes. It makes my skin look dry and haggard. And somehow it also provides no real coverage. You have to apply very light layers. Which would be fine, if they did anything or made the skin look nicer, but they don't. And then to try and get any coverage you try and put another layer down, but that rubs off the previous layer. You end up with a big hole in the coverage exactly where you need it most and a blob of product around that, which is of course unspreadable. I've tried spraying directly on the face and on a brush. I've tried different primers and no primer, just moisturizer. I've tried waiting between layers and working quickly. No difference, big mess.
