I found out the hard way. After countless hours of failure trying to configure it, I contacted Ubiquiti directly and was told that the Bullet AC will ONLY connect to other Ubiquiti AC equipment. You need to use the Bullet "M" series for WiFi access. Unfortunately they are single band only. I purchased the Bullet M 2.4g for my boat and it works very well, I have had no issues, even streaming movies. Virtually all public WiFi is 2.4g. **Q: With this outside can i hook this to a netgear router wan port in the house? also what mode would this unit be in, bridge? what about the router mode?** A: No. This device doesn't use any open WiFi standards. You will need another Ubiquiti device with airMAX to create a bridge. **Q: Why is the black one IP67 rated, and this one is cheaper?
