I wear thick smart wool socks, and have taken them out about 7 times since receiving them. I’ve been testing them on steep hills and they are very comfortable wearing and my feet are never cold. They are heavier than my normal running shoes, however I expected that. They have great impact cushioning that I thought would hurt my foot, but in fact it really has helped. These have a descent tread for So Cal rock trails. Hiking in our mountains requires shoes that take a beating and still grip. They are fairly molded to my foot, especially the heel. I find them easy to put on and because of the sliding lace, easy to take off. The lace gizmo holds up well and doesn't move or open when hiking. Overall, I love them.
