This filter really does work. Where I live, we have VERY hard water, so our skin is always dry and we always feel like we have to use a ton of conditioner to soften our hair, and lotion to moisturize. This has definitely helped reduce the amount of conditioner and lotions that we use. If you don't have a water softener, I would definitely recommend this filter as a temporary fix.
