As soon as I saw these collectors editions I knew I needed them for my collection. The content is amazing as it goes over the different process' the characters or settings went through. I am here for this in-depth content!It also comes with a beautiful lithograph I so wish I had more room to display. The case itself is very sturdy and designed to connect with the other deluxe editions of the other three seasons as well as the last season of Last Airbender. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice if you get on discount. *by T***T on Reviewed in Canada on 23 August 2022* I never read the original releases of these art books for Korra, these 2nd editions are my first experience. I have all of them up to this release - guess I am locked in now to complete that spine image.I'll start off by saying the series of books is pretty good. Rather than being just pictures, there is a decent amount of behind the scenes commentary on sketches and some concepts. I do wish there was more of this and perhaps a summary of thoughts section at the end of each book. You get a taste of some of the thoughts of the creators, but I would have liked more. Korra constantly had so much going on with the production and network, but these books never really touch on that other than mentioning 'things were tough'.Where I think the book falls a little is:- The extras vs price difference. Compared to the regular release, you get a slipcase, an art print on okay quality card stock, and foil detailing on the cover of the book (but let me tell you, the foil detail is pretty lacklustre. It's just the title in matte silver. They didn't do Korra's eyes or chains or anything that seems obvious). At an MSRP of about $100 CAD, I feel DH is charging at least $30 more than what the updates are worth. Maybe more.- The structure of the book does not make much sense to me. You would think there would be a dedicated character section, locations, cut scenes, etc., but instead it sort of follows the rhythm of the show...anyways, if you were looking to quickly find a particular thing, you basically just need to flip through the whole book.Anyways, Korra season 3 was perhaps the strongest of the show, and this was interesting. The Korra books unfortunately continually fail to live up to the original AtLAB art book in terms of insights. My personal favourite season of Legend of Korra was the 4th, so I look forward to the insights offered in the next volume, but as I have come to expect with most not-main-show content from Avatar, I won't get my hopes up too high. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful book and edition *by A***G on Reviewed in the Netherlands on 16 January 2023* I'm not familiar with The Legend Of Korra series, so i'm only judging it's artistic content.
