I really am happy with this necklace. It is very beautiful, easy to open and put the charms in. I agree with the other reviews, the chain seems cheap and like it will break easily, but I can replace that later. I also don't think the style of chain fits the style of necklace, but chains are easy to replace. This was bought as a gift for my mother-in-law. It says in the description the top screws off, but it arrived as a magnetic open. I am ok with the magnetic open as long as it doesn't just open too easily so she looses everything. My mother-in-law does have arthritis, so maybe the magnetic closure will be better for her when she wants to change it out. It really is a beautiful necklace. I bought a few other charms from other vendors to complete it. I like that there is room to grow, in case she gets more grandchildren or if she wants to change it up for seasons and interests.

The pendant is solid and is very nice quality. The chain is casual and kind of quirky and perfect for everyday wear. It is a very nice hanging length...not too long/short and nice for the weight of the pendant. It was very easy to "assemble"...the front of the pendant unscrews, lay tree piece down then crystals, screw back on. Very secure, zero worries about it coming open. 4 instead of 5 stars because one of the crystals had a little bite mark out of the edge which obviously cheapened the look of that particular crystal. Luckily, since all the crystals are rolling around in the charm pendant you can't tell, but this was a Christmas gift for my mom and I am hopeful to get a replacement "November" crystal to sneak in when shes not wearing it (because it would secretly drive me nuts). Btw, she really loved it. Its a special piece and the price cant be beat.

I love it... with reservations. I bought the necklace for my husband to give me for Mother's Day. :)My first necklace arrived with a birthstone missing. I contacted Amazon and they paid for quick shipping for a replacement. It is perfect.The screw together facing is secure and smooth. I selected this necklace knowing I would not be satisfied with the chain and prepared to substitute one of my own chains. The chain is too short for the size of the pendant and is kinda funky-cheap looking.I've read reviews complaining of the tree falling forward. For mine, this has not been much of an issue... I have 5 grandchildren and the abundance of birthstones seem to hold the tree upright. However, having read reviews prior to my order, I already planned a solution. If the tree's movement is an issue for you, buy the tiny crafting glue dots (they are clear) to secure the tree in place.

My wife was super excited to get this in the mail the other day, but then we fought with it for three days trying to open it. We sent the manufacturer an email and they said "just pry it apart" which we had tried a million times. On a whim this evening, I tried twisting the housing and lo and behold the top part unscrewed from the bottom part and we were able to add in the tre and the stones that she wanted to use.Now that we have it set up wit the correct gems it's great. Just was a bit of a pain in the butt to be told that it is on a hinge and it opens like a book and uses magnets to hold it closed, only to find out that there are no magnets at all and it unscrews instead.

I bought this for myself, using an Amazon gift card given to me for Mothers Day by one of my sons, his wife, and their children. This pendent includes 2 birthstone for each month, which was great because I have 10 grandchildren, several of whom share the same birth month as another. The pendent is sturdy and looks great. The chain is okay for casual wear and makes it ready to wear right away. However, the chain is easy to swap out. I have a rope chain that works perfectly and looks a little nicer. The price for this set is great, it seems well made, assembles easily, and gets many compliments.

I got this as a gift for my mother in law, I am very happy it included two sets of birth stones, which allowed me to put two of the same birthstone in for when there was two birthdays that month. However, it said I would get one set of round stones, and one set of heart stones, but what was sent was two sets of round stones. I was hoping to use the heart for the grand kids, and the round stones for the children generation, but everyone was round, which is OK.

The item arrived very quickly, and the pendant is really pretty.I knocked one star because the tree of life isn't secure in the pendant. It's a little disk that kind a just floats around in there, which is not what I was expecting, and the chain it came with is pretty ugly and doesn't fit the delicate look of the pendant. Though that's easily replaced.The stones are pretty, and the cage easily fit all 7 that I wanted in mine.I actually purchased two, and I gave the other to my mother in law. She loved it. So all in all, it was a success.

The locket is very nice looking. The chain is a great length. The only thing that I was less than 100% happy with were the crystals. The colors are off and fairly faint. It is also sort of a pain in the neck because they only send one stone for each month...our family has three birthdays in the same month...so I had to go to a craft store to get two more crystals. The quality of the piece though itself and the over all look are very nice and it made a very nice Mother's Day gift.
