Finding the right fit for clothing outside of the USA is challenging. Here is my experience.My exact size at the time of purchase and fitting.Body type: Ectomorph, moderately athletic, 43yrs old with 2 children.Weight: 138 lbs.Measurements: 35 Bust (wear a 34 B bra comfortably), Waist 28.25", Hips 38.75"Height:5.67'I am a size 6 (although I have gained 6 pounds, size 6 is no longer just right but still works)I first tried the XL. It was too big around the thighs and arms, and the torso too long. Returned.I tried a L. It fit but the zipper pull broke on first try. (Wear suit with zipper in the back). Returned.Order another L. Great! Zipper pull secure. Close fit. Would not consider it snug (I consider snug - feeling resistance when pulling fabric from away from body.) Just right for me.I wear a simple un-padded, no wire bikini underneath for modesty.The extra material under the arms is "unusual" but actually contributed to comfort.It comes on and off with ease.It's attractive, feminine, compared to other suits of this type.It smells like car tires, but scent goes away.Performance - In the water it retained its good fit. It kept me just a bit warmer when I was submerged. It really made a big difference when I got out of the pool. The suit retained some of the warm water near my body and it protected me from the air to water temperature change. I was very comfortable.I left the pool with the suit on. My only issue is the fit. I ordered an extra lg and the fit was snug but under the arms was very lose and felt weird. The neck was also very tight. The length was just right. The material is thick which is what I wanted. I wear it to swim laps in a heated pool, but I am a cold water wimp! I think this would be fine for most in chilly water. The small is just a tad short for my torso and it digs in a bit so I wear bikini bottoms underneath for my comfort. Otherwise I wouldn’t need anything under it. For reference I am 5’2” and 100 lbs. and got a small. But I am also very small up top and the small is almost too small. So if you are even my same weight/ height but are more endowed then you may need to size up.
