Still less work that soldering and then shrinking a tube after. The insulator is much thicker than regular heat shrink tube as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Some good some bad *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 13, 2020* The heat shrink solder connectors appear to work, no issues there but the regular crimp on but splices are buyer beware! Especially the bigger one (yellow and blue) the metal inside of connector is extremely thin. Certainly they would not properly crimp on to the wire or carry the load they should be rated for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works just as described *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 11, 2018* I like these. I use them on a boat and in wet environments where the connections need to be sealed. I use a heat gun to melt the solder and shrink the plastic and that works very well. I set the gun on 500 degrees and it takes 15-20 seconds on so to melt the solder. A friend of mine used a butane mini torch but that is too hard to control the heat input.
