Dress, slacks, shorts or jeans, it works. The band is really long and made the watch much too large for me. It came with one snap off link, which wasn't nearly enough for my small wrist. It did not come with a link remover so I bought one from desertcart. After removing three more links, it was a perfect fit. If you have small wrists, you'll need a link remover kit or a watch repair guy to remove the excess links. I appreciate how quiet it is. It does tick, but you have to hold it close to your ear to hear it. No distracting ticking when the room goes quiet. Most importantly, it keeps good time.
