It is made of a quite nice stretch jersey fabric. As other reviewers have said, the material is on the thin side, and is see-through in the sense that seen against the light, your legs and thighs may show through the skirt. Because of the stretch and the bodycon cut, in the lighter colours it may also show your underwear, even down to the details of the lace on your panties and bra!I am M&S size 12, and the 12-14 dress was a good close fit. A larger size would probably have been too big across the shoulder.
