The paper does not blot. I put it to the test with several of my pens, including a medium thick rollerball. There was very little shadow imprint on the other side and I was able to write on both sides of the paper. I like the fact that it is perforated and tears when I wish to but doesn't start tearing and falling out with my regular use. Overall, its well constructed and I like the pen loop. Handsome looking as well.I wish it came in more colors. I would totally buy a dark crimson red, a teal, turquoise blue, emerald, etc etc. I would suggest there be a front page for writing in the owner's name and contact details including email and phone numbers.
