The tech it uses doesn't cause any damage to the healthy areas of my skin like sugar scrubs, microbeads, and even scrub gloves can do if rubbing too hard. Since it isn't coarse and merely vibrates it only draws out gunk. Using the tool is super easy, I only use it in a **steamy shower** and I let my face take in as much steam as possible by exfoliating my face last. You just have to relax your facial muscles, press the tip against your skin, and draw it across the skin. I have cystic acne caused by the Implanon birth control implant (my body reacted negatively to the synthetic hormones, I removed the piece of junk 7 months ago and still have cysts come up - though since its removal they have decreased in size and number). Going over the cysts is uncomfortable of course (those suckers hurt like hell regardless!) but, if it's a new cyst, the exfoliation makes it reach the whitehead stage literally within a day (anyone who has this type of acne knows that some cysts can take weeks or months to rise to the outermost layers of your skin, no joke). If the cyst is already at the whitehead stage, the exfoliator draws all of the crap inside, out (basically, it pops. It's gross af). I draw the exfoliator across the area of the cyst a couple times to ensure that all the gook is drawn out, clean off the exfoliator tip, and keep on going. After I'm done exfoliating, while still in the shower, I wash my face again and then I use the gel of a fresh aloe leaf on my face and use the +/- ion function. After, I rinse off with cold water, step out the shower, moisturize my face, and go about my day. By the end of the day, the cyst that was at the whitehead stage is completely gone!! No little sub-dermal lump that you might get from squeezing, it is completely smooth with just a small scab from the pop zone.
