I use these "chef knives as personal steak knives. Restaurants supply, to cut their steaks, ALWAYS dull, ALWAYS serrated, ALWAYS "meat shredders." So, I carry my own. I started with a Japanese actual "personal steak knife with a nice leather case," however it is small, tiny, far too little for a 26 oz Prime Rib. So, I've found that the Chef Knives, like this one, or good sized and cut steak like butter, making the fine Steak and Prime Rib eating experience, even better. This knife has a bit of a chunky handle, large in the pocket, but it actually makes the steak experience, better.
