It was my friend, a dad in his 40's who read every single poem and wrote down which song had been the poet's inspiration. When the list was announced he was so excited. That's the power of Invisible Strings. In terms of full disclosure, I was honored to be invited to submit a poem. I loved how out-of-the-box I needed to go to achieve something I was very proud of writing. And now, I'm working on an anthology titled Birdbrains: A Lyrical Guide to Birds of Washington State. My matching of birds (Northern Flicker anyone?) was directly inspired by this collection.
