Wie er darüber redet, viele von uns kennen das Gefühl das man im Leben kein ziel hat - was nur schlimmer wird nach der Schule, nun steht einem das Leben offen aber was macht man damit? Scott Stillman fängt, wie gefühlt jeder Autor eines wichtigen Buches, erst mal bei seiner Kindheit/Jungend an und dessen Hürden, sowie seinen damaligen Prioritäten was nix geringeres wie Mädels und Skaten war. Also was soll mir/ euch das jetzt helfen eigentlich gar nix, es geht eher darum das man sich nochmal in Erinnerung ruft was man früher den überhaupt gemacht/geliebt hat und welche Eigenschaften das hatte. Naja zumindest ist das meine Interpretation davon... Jedenfalls das Buch hilft einem verschiedene Dinge zu überdenken und hinterfragen warum und weshalb wir dinge tun und wohin wir wollen und was wir wollen, ein Haus? mit großen Fenster und viel Licht einem Hund der nur auf einen wartet das man durch die Tür schreitet, eine Reise? zu den willkürlichsten Orte der Welt oder doch eher zu den schönsten Stränden der Erde oder doch eher Berühmt sein, in einem Film mitspielen. Jedenfalls gibt es kein richtig und kein falsch solange man sich nicht in ein Muster reindrücken lässt. Review: This has become my favorite book. But I found it very condescending, basically the author has a better lifestyle than everybody else, and if you don’t follow his path/philosophy, you are completely missing the point of life. Which is a shame because our relationship with modern society and nature is definitely something we need to explore and question but again, I didn’t like the way it was presented in this book.
