It seemed like the lid wasn't going to stay on tight so I read the directions and was able to do it properly so the lid was nice and tight...yes, read the directions, it helps. I absolutely love that they are dishwasher safe and that the lid is glass as well, most are plastic! They are a nice thick glass so you don't have to worry much about them breaking and the lid is really good quality! I wasn't sure if I would use the bins inside the container but they actually turned out to be great for draining fruits and veggies. I know these are on the pricey side but paying for clean, non plastic items is worth it.
