This chemical is essential for joint health. Many people suffering from arthritis take it as a supplement. But, and this is very important, the chemical does not act alone. Other supplements contain a whole range of chemicals which act together to repair injured joints. I feel that 'cheeky nutrition' is wrong in separating all supplements in the way it does. Doing it their way means that you end up taking dozens of tablets, and, however many you take, you can't be sure you are taking the right combination. So, I can't recommend these. If you have a joint problem (I have osteoarthritis) I suggest you investigate tablets which tackle the whole problem.. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overkill at 1000mg *by R***S on 16 December 2018* These Cheeky 1000mg Glucosamine Sulphate tablets seem to be the genuine article, effective as usual, although too high a dose and in uncomfortably big capsules. We all have different tolerances and needs, so it is worth adjusting the dose to balance effectiveness against economy. I’ve been taking one tablet on alternate days for a few weeks now (for a 500mg daily average), and my usual pains have not returned.For the last three decades I’ve been using a combination of Glucosamine Sulphate, Omega3 oils and regular mobility enhancing exercise to mitigate the osteoarthritis in my lower back, knees and ankles – not running. My usual daily dose of Glucosamine Sulphate is 500mg and I can exist for up to three or four days without it before the pain returns, but I’ve found that for me the 250mg often found in combination tablets is marginal.I always look for cheapest possible bargain offers in the supermarkets and all seem to work as well as each other. This means that I would never have tried these Cheeky tablets but for the chance Vine offering. As with all these things, shop around. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Huge pills but good value *by T***B on 6 December 2018* First off these are ruddy great big pills, proper horse pills. I have read about glucosamine and it appears to be fine to crush the tablets and sprinkle them on food before you eat it. Thank heavens for that because i suspect a whole lot of people wont be able to take these pills otherwise.The tablets are a chalky white in colour and smells vaguely like yogurt (in my opinion!).If you are considering taking glucosamine tablets then the sulphate version (these tablets) have been shown to be more effective than the hydrocholride version.I think glucosamine is linked with joint care in most peoples eyes and that is what its taken for. It has been shown to reduce joint pain and is especially effective when taken for knee pain.I actually can take these tablets whole but im already on quite a few meds after a stomach op so im more used to it.Its early days yet as to whether they have had any knee effect but i hope they do because being in pain is no fun!
