I opened a case to the manufacturer in Czech Republic and they replaced it very fast. I had also the seller willing to replace it - even if the retun window of 30 days has passed. The replacemt disk works very well. high continous transfer rate, no excessive noise. Asking Western Digital to replace it with a RED Pro one, I received ensurance that this model (Purple Pro) is build with the same high standards as the Red serie. Do not buy this product if you want to create a RAID!
