Looks and feels exactly like the OEM remote, minus the logo, for a better price. This unit MUST be paired with the receiver in the fireplace in order to properly function, which I'm guessing is what some other reviewers were missing. On the receiver unit in your fireplace, just push a paper clip into the little hole beside the ON/OFF/REM switch, then press the power button on the remote.
