Hence, lots of mess on the floors! I have been using a broom with a long handled dust pan for several years, after mylast cordless vac died. I couldn't bring myself to again pay significant money for something that would die in 2 years or less. BUT, I seriously missed the convenience of the cordless vac. So, I researched again and decided to look for a Shark. When I saw one for $90 I decided to try it. Most of the ones I was looking at were + or - $200. This one doesn't have the removable hand held segment, but I never used that anyway. I am TOTALLY thrilled with this vacuum. It is very light, turns easily (after I learned to twist with my wrist, instead of my whole arm), it picks up everything, is good at edges, isn't too noisy, empties easily, has an easy to access and clean filter, and the battery lets me do 3 entryways, the tiled kitchen and sun room and more on 1 charge. The floor charger is very efficient and the vac fits easily and never tips over (even when toddler twins are running around it). I don't know how long it takes to recharge, but it has never quit on me, or not been ready when I needed it. I am totally pleased with this purchase. If it performs like this for 2 years, I will consider it $90 well spent and get another one, although I don't see why they can't make one with a replaceable battery so I can keep it forever, like we did in the "old" days!!!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Prompt delivery *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 23, 2018* The filters and battery pack were promptly delivered as what Prime does. I have not tried the battery pack as this was a back up for my 2 existing Shark SV1100 vacuums. I know one day when I will need to replace the pack as I have never had any battery powered equipment last 10 years and the fact that I believe 7 years is limit a manufacturer needs to provide spare parts. So, my rating could change to 5 stars if the battery pack is good as the OEM one (going 3 or 5 years) or 3 stars if it is sub par compared to the OEM.
