Just wandering if this helps?** A: I'm 50, I purchased this product because one of the main ingredients helps with acne associated with wearing a KN95 mask. I have to say, my acne has improved. It reduces the redness. It does not dry your skin. **Q: What percentage of salicylic acid does this product contain?** A: It contains 1%. But this brand also has a 4% Salicylic Acid serum which I also use and love. Since I don’t have acne?** A: The mild acid is to help with skin discolorations to even spots on your face out and mildly keep the ph acidic to avoid pores getting filled with bacterial that produces white or black heads that can increase the size of the pores. I can't use traditional skincare products because fungal acne/malassezia (feeds on oils/esters/lipids and tends to occur on forehead/nose/neck/back). And I can can't use most acne products because it still grows in oxygen so benzoyl peroxide doesn't work and salicylic acid just doesn't address the root cause. This helps my bacterial acne without triggering my fungal acne. It also seems to be very gentle, I can leave it on my skin all day and no dryness or irritation. I am glad they didn't include any fragrances because those also trigger my breakouts - if you want fragrance just add your own. I just wish they used butylene glycol instead of propylene but it's still one of the best acne preventing product I've found for my problem skin. It just seems like a great acne preventing product with no useless ingredients.
