Review: I got a small box of this first out of concerns my very picky cat wouldn’t like the powder mixed in with his food. He barely likes snacks. Well- he loved it- so I’ll be buying larger quantities in the future. I think it’s helping with his anxiety as well which was the purpose of buying it. Only downside is the price.
Review: It took a week or so but my 17 yea old cat with dementia and other illnesses calmed down. He had been up all night, yowling and walking up and down our bed multiple times. Now he seems much more comfortable and able to relax at night. It’s not 100% but way better than before. I have to put it in a pill popper to give it to him but you could open the capsule and sprinkle on food.

My experience comes from a cat shelter and, in recent years, working as a professional cat behavior consultant. It's hard to know with supplements if they really are effective, especially when they are used in conjunction with other behavior modification strategies. I can say that I used them with my cats for about a month as we were transitioning into our new home, and I thought they were helpful. I like that they have fewer potential side effects than prescription medication. Most cats don't mind the taste. For cats with more discerning taste, you can give the gel caps whole, on a lick mat in a pile of mixed-texture treats. The only drawback, from my perspective, is these supplements are pricey, which makes them less feasible for long-term use.
