It feels sturdy once fitted, and the gate mechanism is smooth and secure. Great for keeping little ones (or pets!) safely contained, and the design blends in nicely with most interiors. However, there’s a design flaw worth mentioning – one side of the gate has an angled plastic protrusion that sticks out awkwardly. It’s very easy to catch your thigh on it, especially if you're walking through in a hurry or wearing shorts – and when you do, it really does hurt! It’s a shame, because otherwise it’s a great gate.
