I also tried stainless steel kettles in the past and I love them, but the idea of going for glass this time was appealing.I like seeing how much water is left in my kettle without having to open it. Since I use it all day long to boil the water for my tea and herbal infusion, I tend to fill it to the max capacity in the morning, and re-heat through the day.After a full year of intense usage, it still works great, it doesn't leak and shows no sign of wear and tear. Down side is like most of the electric kettles, length of the power cord is very very short.
