I bought this for my 11lb Pomeranian who will spend car rides jumping from seat to seat. It was becoming a safety hazard so I began looking for a car seat. Now cost played a factor in my decision. I didn’t want to drop $40-$80 on a car seat when I have classes and other bills to pay. I was initially worried it would be too small for him since it’s labeled as a puppy seat but it ended up fitting him just perfect. My Pom was not thrilled about having to ride in a car seat in the backseat, he did jump out a few times (even when attaches to the built in leash he just flipped the whole thing over) but eventually he got used to it and was laying down during the ride. The fleece at the bottom is removable in case there’s an accident and it needs to be washed. The only thing I kinda wish it had was a retractable leash that you could lock to allowe your dogs the space and flexibility to turn around and make themselves more comfortable without allowing them access to jump all over. It’s a great product especially for the price. I’m very happy with this purchase ### ⭐ Great deal for a (very dangerous) item! *by H***E on August 29, 2018* Additional information:I had this booster seat for no more than 2 weeks when I noticed that my dog got out of it. When I was stopped, I saw that the strap that kept him in it was no longer connected to anything! And the metal bar that is the rim around the opening was broken and out of its protective cover. If I had to stop fast, my dog could have been killed!!!It offends me that something I bought to help protect my dog put him in danger! He's all of 6 lbs & not hyper, nor did he even struggle while in that booster seat, so this entire problem is baffling!Former review with current comments in parentheses:I LOVE this dog booster seat (Not any more! It could have killed my dog!), and apparently so does my dog! Every single booster seat I looked at in the pet stores ran at least $40 and up!!! (And now I know why!) But this was only $8 Prime, arrived fast, fits my dog perfectly, and was super easy to install. I didn't think my 6 pound Pomeranian would handle it well, but he adapted very quickly (it only took 1 car trip that lasted about 1/2 hour). Until I got this, my dog had learned to open my electric car window & was trying to jump out of the window while I was driving! So I bought this to protect him and it does! (Just not for long! This one lasted 2 weeks max, and when it failed, it could have seriously harmed my dog!) After less than a week, he eagerly jumps in the seat & lets me hook him in. I finally feel he's safe in the car (but that was brief! When it failed, the loosr metal rim could have killed him!) and he's able to see outside, so he's content. He doesn't have the wind blowing in his hair like a blonde in a convertible, but it's as close as I can safely get for him and it works great for him and me. No more distractions trying to keep him from jumping out of the window!This booster seat also has a removable liner that can be washed, so it'll be easy to keep clean. (I would've preferred that it be usable rather than washable, and really needed one that simple, basic use would not have been a problem. At least i know why it was so cheap!) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for small animals under 3lbs *by E***S on March 10, 2019* Unfortunately, it is great for small dogs but the side walls are short and dog can easily climb out when buckled in! I wouldn’t recommend using a neck collar with this because it is so shallow it could choke the animal, only use a body harness.
