Top tip is that you really don't need backing foil if the rad is not on an outside wall. An internal wall will act as a heat sink, like a storage heater would. Fit the foil if you don't want the heat to filter into a kitchen, say. Also, you can cut the support rods easily, and can use two short bits for a rad if necessary. **Q: Is this foil fire-proof. (Want to put it behind oven)** A: I haven't tried it, but I've never found tin foil inflammable. Dare I add, that despite fitting this product carefully behind all radiators, I never was able to prove it had paid for itself. But I would like to think so ! **Q: Is this better than a roll of radiaror reflector foil available at 1/6th of the cost?** A: Probably not, but we found that it remains in place better, and so may slightly more effective.
