But the individual items are really well-packed and well-protected with a ton of Styrofoam, which is good for you, the buyer, but not so great for the environment when it comes time to unpack and dispose of all of it. Building the rack was easy: the directions are straightforward and the tools were included. The rack is the perfect size for a corner of the room. The coating on the dumbbells is both esthetically pleasing and is really comfortable on the hands and the floor. I don't worry at all that these are going to slip out of my hands, and the square edges make them stay put when you place them on the ground. That's huge. The weights themselves are wonderful: like I said, I'm really glad I went with the full set because you will find a way to use those small ones, and the big ones gives you something to work up to (I'm looking at you, lunges).
