My kids and I are all competitive speed cubers, but we must admit that this cube has been giving us issues. We got off to a good start but have yet to finish the top half. We will figure it out eventually, but for now we are struggling. The cube is a good quality that it's definitely sturdy and well designed. I would say it's a good value for its money also. I don't think the cube is specifically designed for speed as much as it is for difficulty.
