This WILL NOT remove any serious scratches or damage from any metal especially watch bands/straps and in many cases it actually makes them much more noticeable. Any video that shows you something different is simply not accurate. Start by first cleaning your metal with a soft bristle toothbrush using any soap or toothpaste. If you have heavy scratches on watch bands, you'll need to buff them with a proper tool and rubbing compound or equivalent metal compound to remove as much as possible and even out the surfaces. Start small and light and increase as necessary as to not damage your surface. Avoid applying to your watch crystal unless you're prepared to do additional work depending on the quality of your crystal. Acrylic watch faces are particularly tricky so understand what you're working with before you get yourself in trouble. The Cape Cod POLISHING cloth is the last step in the process and after you ensure that you washed away all prior chemicals - don't experiment by combining them one after another unless you're prepared for a less than ideal outcome. **Q: Hello, can this remove light scratches from the case of a pvd gold invicta watch? (invicta 1515) thank you.**
A: To be honest I'm not sure if your watch is gold plated or not. If it's plated I wouldn't advise it because what the cloth dose is it micro sands and polishes the metal down and that would be a problem for anything gold plated. It works extremely well with stainless steel because underneath the srurface is more stainless steel. Now if the gold is solid through the case of the watch, I'd have to believe that it would work as gold is a soft metal and as use polish it down there is more gold beneath to shine through. Hope that helps.

**Q: Will this remove a scratch on Rolex datejust?**

This can be used on Chrome to help restore the chrome if it has been discolored.

I got a nasty/deep scratch on a high end watch, was skeptical but thought what's there to lose? And, what do you? It worked. The scratch was deep, I am talking about finger nail catching deep. After masking the area around it, I started applying the compound using the cloth, took a bit of time but....got it completely removed. Amazing product.
