It is very slightly sticky when used at full strength- I dilute it 50% with purified water because it’s very concentrated & a little strong for my sensitive skin. When diluted it’s not sticky. I just mix half & half in a small cup, dip a cotton pad & swipe it on. **Q: Does it have to be washed off daily? I have dreads, and can’t wash my hair for weeks at a time.** A: If you leave it in, your hair around the scalp area may look greasy but it won't feel greasy. It will feel coated. I leave it on for about 2 hours before washing my hair and I wash my hair with a dandruff shampoo. The dandruff shampoo. by itself, doesn't work half as well as using it in tandem with Dermazen. **Q: Can I use this serum on my scalp during the day or will it make my hair oily?** A: It doesn’t make it oily feeling. It is more like hair gel looking when it dries. It would feel or look about if you had salt water in your hair after a day at the beach. If I need to wear it, I use it overnight and wash in the am. Or I brush it to slick it back into a ponytail. But no, oily isn’t the word.
