ANUSOL PLUS 24 Hemorrhoidal SUPPOSITORIES

Greetings, I am a Registered Nurse and this my first personal experience with hemorrhoids. First, let me say everyone is different and may not have the same reaction.To summarize, initially I had mild symptoms and decided to use Prep H Suppositories (DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY- They are not medicated). My external hemorrhoids progressed to severe with increased swelling, excruciating pain, discharge, and inflamed surrounding skin. I went to see my doctor and recommended "medicated" suppository.ANUSOL helped me in resolving the hemorrhoids and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I also highly recommend diligently keeping area CLEAN and modifying your DIET & increase fluids to ease your bowel movements. For DISCHARGE and skin issues, ask your doctor (may need anti-fungal or anti-itch creams). I also used a non-stick gauze between the skin (cheeks) with a barrier cream (Desitin) and frequently changed. Tylenol and Motrin will also help with the pain. Cold water on the area after bowel movements will also help to decrease swelling and pain.It's been a week since starting the ANUSOL and treatment regiment. I am almost 100%. I sincerely hope this can help others.

Ive only used once so far. The package came opened but the suppositories seemed to all be whole, not melted like a lot of reviewers has said. Upon insertion my rectum felt a nice cold like relief. Which I must say was welcomed after the long 2 months of this painful problem. I just hope to have a bowel movement without agonizing pain. Ive tried various Prep H and HemoTreat suppositories to no avail. Im hopeful this works because I can not afford the 400 dollar prescription sitting at the pharmacy. Not to mention a surgery... Will update in a week.Update: Its been 3 days. The first two days there was no sign of change. If anything I thought it might be getting worse. Today I am happy to report that I didnt need to push anything back up after a bowel movement. It was like Christmas morning! Its been a very long 2 months of agony. I did take 800 mg of Ibuprofen and sit on a cushion all day yesterday. I'm not 100% sure its all from the ANUSOL but the combo seems to be working. Will update when completely done with the product.Final Update: Haven't had to push anything back up at all. Haven't had a painful BM in days either. I stopped the ibuprofen the day after the last update and I had the same results, GREAT! I used ANUSOL coupled with Prep H ointment (as lube) and Prep H Witch Hazel towelettes. I don't think the ANUSOL was the cure it just helped the healing process. I'm not 100% better because I not only had internal hems I also had external and anal fissures (started working out hard and the DR said that happens sometimes). But, internally it did its job. Im done with this and ordering more in case there is another flare up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I suffered for far too long trying everything and its just embarrassing and miserable .

I've had hemorrhoids for some years now and I like to test different products to see what works the best. For reference, I have internal hemorrhoids and when a bowel movement happens it can sometimes cause painful tears.I recently had a tear after it healed up before, I ordered this beforehand as and emergency and to test it. Worked great! swelling went down and itching lessened. Suppository when in easy. Be sure to keep it cold or it will melt and will not have the "suppository shape". The next day the tear was a lot better.My go to hemorrhoid medicine for daily care is the Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoids Cream (try is, its a life saver). This one is great for getting that swelling down and helping tears heal. Hope this helps!Remember to use this with combination of good diet (for soft stool) and LOTS OF WATER.

I originally gave these 5 stars, but due to air bubbles in numerous suppositories which leads to crumbling, I dropped to 4. Otherwise...work well overall and reasonably priced.Note that these do not contain hydrocortisone (Anusol HC) which doctors often prescribe. Unfortunately many healthcare plans, including Medicare do NOT pay for them and they are incredibly expensive: $150 or more depending on the pharmacy and number prescribed. You can get 2.5% HC cream prescribed, then combine the use of both for even better healing. The cream is reasonable, depending on your insurance: $3-6 per tube.I've never had success with other medications like Preparation H, etc. Phenylephrin HCL is the active ingredient and that can aggravate high blood pressure and benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH), among other things. Most other products today use similar formulations with similar side effects.

These work great and offer much needed relief, they are smaller than other brands but stronger and if you use them correctly they can insert with ease. I find that if you lubricate your rectum very well and relax, they will go in and slide right inside as you guide it. It's easy to use if you lay on your stomach and raise your leg. Just insert slowly and stay calm and they will quickly began to soothe you. Make sure your hands and rectum are clean before you insert. These need to be inserted in a timely fashion because they will began to melt with the touch of your skin. If it is hot where you live, they could melt upon delivery. Keep then in a cool and dry place and they will stay in their solid form without issue. I know my review is very direct, but I wish someone would have given me this advise, nothing to be shy about lol. My advice is solid.

Bought this for a family member. They had used a bunch of other things but continued to have problems. So I bought them this stuff because they are cheap skates and didn't want to pay the higher price. From how they recovered after using this product it seems like the more expensive price is well worth it. They said no other product worked as well.

Does the job! I gradually went from experiencing excruciating and dreadful pain to a pleasant surprise of no pain after trying others that did very little. If you're having painful bowel movements, use this as instructed and it will work!

I bought this because it was the last remaining product available on amazon at the time but I never noticed it contained parabens!!!!! For this reason I am never going to by it again, these ingredients dont belong in suppositories.

Sad this did not work at all. Besides it being a bit uncomfortable trying to put this inside of your body I did not find relief from it at all and I followed the instructions. Oddly enough I felt like a bit of polysporn did a much better job then this did unfortunately. It was quite expensive for only 24 tablets as well.

They don’t really do anything, as I said in the title the main reason to get them would be that you can’t get the preparation H ones because those have medication in them that messes with your blood pressure. Other than that, not really good at much.

This product was received in a defective state. Upon opening the suppositories we dound that they all where wither half od supporoyies or a large gouge out of the senter of each.
