They are not really lightweight, but they are light enough. The original pedals were lightweight, but also somewhat fragile. I am about 185 pounds, and ride this bile 75-100 miles per week on city streets, and the lighter weight pedals began to pull apart pretty quickly; these pedals are somewhat heavier, but also sturdier. My bike is a bright lime green, and these red pedals are pretty distinctive on the bike. So far, it's a good combination. I can lube the bearings easily while doing other bike maintenance, so I look forward to a lengthy lifespan for the combination. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars easy install.
