Like many of us now I use a bagless vacuum that has filters that you shouldn't mix with traditional powder carpet fresheners so I'm always in two minds whether to risk it or scrub the carpet with proper cleaners. First things first, establish where the product exits the canisters, don't be a duffus like me and assume it's like air freshener, it's not it comes out of the top, as I realised after spraying the mantelpiece, fire and surround!! Fortunately it evaporates so I didn't rub it, I left it and it went without me smearing it everywhere. Secondly decide your spraying strategy, I went from the end of the room backwards so as not to step on it whilst it soaks in to the fabric. It looks like a foam explosion but is dissolves quickly enabling you to vacuum almost straight away. Remember to move pet/child products out of the way as it does attach to everything and though I'm sure it's not deadly, children and pets have a habit of using their mouths as hands so they probably wouldn't appreciate the taste! The fragrance is lovely and light and it does linger for a while, also it does no harm to your expensive vacuum and probably helps make the bristles smell a little nicer!
