I have been through a number of LED Lamps over the past seven years. None of them compare to the lumen output from a Halogen Lamp. Until now. These LED Lamps give a Warm Light but are brighter than a halogen lamp and don't get anywhere near as hot. Halogen Lamps do waste a lot of energy and present a fire hazard, in my opinion (Which is why I stopped using them). When I first changed to LED Lights I found that there were dark spots in my kitchen between the LED Down Lights. Not so with these Lights. The Light emitted fills the whole kitchen. The Lights look like quality when you remove them from the packaging. Hopefully they will last a lot longer than others I have bought in the past. I have found (Over time) that nearly all LED Lamps tend to fail in the same way - LED Driver failure leading to a flickering lamp which eventually fails completely. Hopefully the Drivers in these LED Lamps are better quality. Time will tell. So far my Wife is very pleased so I'm happy. ### ⭐⭐ Not worth the money. They are certainly no brighter than the 5w Toolstation basics they have replaced despite the much higher lumen claims and being double the price.The reason for the two star review is that after buying a box of 10 warm white lamps, they are very clearly a mixture of warm and VERY warm colour temperature. They boxes are all marked the same.I the box is a lovely little leaflet,stating that if you have any issues, email them and they will send replacements rather than having to send them back to Amazon. They claim to respond in 24 hours. 5 days later my email hasn't even been acknowledged by the manufacturer, despite including pictures of the issue.My advice would be avoid. These are more expensive than some brands, and honestly not worth the extra based on what I received. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ excellent lamp with nice white ambient feel and cooling fins around the base *by R***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 March 2019* These lights are quite something, i have tried them in place of some other lampaous bulbs i purchased for a kitchen. there are little vents around the base that allow a small airflow around the ceramic part. This seems to allow a small amount of room venting at the lamp body, handy thing. Update 2020The bulbs are still working perfectly. The venting part I have since learned is so these can be used in extractor light applications in shower rooms.
