I don't know what retinyl palmitate is. It may or may not be a by-product of retinol. I suggest you go to the manufacturer's product MSD Sheets. (Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheets) if they have any for this products. Don't buy it if you are that concerned. The reason I love this night cream is how it makes my skin. Extremely moisturized! The next morning, my skin feels unbelievably soft! A little goes s long way so it should last.
