Once I pumped the air until I felt pressure, then the sprayer worked beautifully! It sprayed a fine mist across my pan. If you've never used a pump sprayer, you'll notice that it doesn't spray like the commercial sprayers - it's more of a gentle spray, and it will run out after about 5 seconds of spraying - which is about how much you need to spray your pan. If you need more, you just pump it back up. It's well worth the effort for having a chemical free oil. I haven't had any problems with clogging at all.
