Ordered purple, received a very odd color, almost as if faded by the sun. (A washed out pink). Fabric is not a soft cotton but a very stif, thick, clingy material, labeled as 100% cotton. Packaging is a zip lock bag with the image of a ? Stripper. Not appropriate to gift to a young child who wears a size 4 toddler. The elastic around the sleeves is a bit tight, especially if your little one isn't used to that kind of thing. My daughter is lanky, as mentioned, bot not terribly thick and it was still tight enough to make a mark on her skin after a few minutes. The elastic is easy to take out with a stitch-puller or a pair of nail-scissors, though (it took me about one-and-a-half bedtime stories to do both sleeves). The material is nice, soft, has held its shape, size, and color through a half-dozen washings, and the lace around the neck is soft and a cotton material.
