You want to get the most out of what you eat, so we set out to create the world's highest quality broccoli sprout powder. Great for smoothies, juice, and whatever else you can come up with! We start with organic broccoli seeds. They are sprouted until the cell wall cracks (typically 4-7 days) and are then freeze-dried to lock in the maximum amount of nutrients possible (including the active myrosinase enzyme and the glucoraphinin). Once dried they are ground into a powder. It is then packaged and tested as a final step. In addition to our standard safety testing which includes microbiological and heavy metal testing, we also test each batch for glucoraphanin content and myrosinase to ensure the enzyme is active and ready to convert that glucoraphanin to sulforaphane once you eat it.

**Q: If the broccoli sprouts powder is added to a hot dish such a soup, isn't it possible that the myrosinase enzyme will be inactivated?**
A: Yes, if the dish is too hot, it will inactive the myrosinase enzyme. Therefore, it's best to use the broccoli sprout powder in a cooler dish such as a smoothie, juice, sauce, dressing, etc.

**Q: Is any heat applied to the sprouts after harvest? If so could you please elaborate?**
A: Once the broccoli seeds are sprouted, they are immediately frozen, then freeze-dried. There is a small amount of heat applied during the freeze-drying process, but only enough to raise the temperature in the drying chamber to just above the freezing point to sublimate the water out. We test all the finished broccoli sprout powder for myrosinase activity to ensure the enzyme is still active in the finished powder. Hope this helps!

**Q: How much sulforaphane per scoop?**
A: We technically do not test for sulforaphane but instead test for the molecule that is a precursor to it, Glucoraphanin. Glucoraphanin turns into Sulforaphane once water is added and as long as there is active myrosinase enzyme present (we also test to ensure active myrosinase enzyme). We do not standardize these to a certain level as our goal is to maintain through freeze-drying the levels that are naturally found in the raw sprouts, but the last batch we tested, tested at approximately 70 mg of glucoraphanin per 1 scoop (3.4 g) of powder. **Q: Is one scoop the equivalent of only 1/4 of fress brocolly? At $5.00 a cup, 5 cups a week will be $ 100.00**

This is an organic broccoli SPROUT powder And each scoop is equivalent to 1/4 cup of broccoli sprouts (not mature broccoli... if that’s what you’re looking for we also sell organic broccoli powder). We make our broccoli sprout powder by sprouting broccoli seeds for 4-7 days, then freeze-drying the raw sprouts and grinding them into a powder. If you’re interested in eating broccoli sprouts and you’ve gone through the hassle of continuously sprouting seeds every couple days and are looking for a more convenient daily alternative that still contains high levels of glucoraphanin and active myrosinase, then our powder may be a good fit for you.
