Backlighting switches off too quickly. *by �***� on 18 August 2024* I didn't realise this came with a sturdy hard case to keep it in when not in use, which is very handy. The surface of the detector is made of silicone and this protects the entire outside of it, apart from the screen. Meaning it's comfortable to holds and there's a decent amount of grip to it. On the rear is a relatively strong, toothed clip, allowing you to attached it to a belt, clothing, etc without worrying about it falling off. The screen is clear, bright and easy enough to read. However, there did seem tobe any option to adjust the screen timeout setting. As I found the backlighting did switch off a little too quickly for my liking and requiring a subsequent button push to engage it again. It has 4 different modes, ones of which requires a pin code to unlock in order to avoid accidentally switching to it. It's certainly quite responsive when testing and picks up changes quite quickly. I'm unable to comment on the overall accuracy, since I don't have anything to compare it against. The build quality looks and feels good and the capped charging port is easily accessible. Charging time isn't quick, taking several hours. As I've only recently received this, I can't really comment on the medium to long-term durability and reliability.
