Very strong. It can hold this 10 pound weight without breakin' a sweat. At an angle and sideways. It's actually quite difficult to get it back off. So, it could easily hold a lot more. Security tags? Not an issue. The eye bolt comes off, making it easy to place in your pocket. It's about the size of a half dollar and thick as an iphone 4. Seems durable.
