Rusty after the first wash? Not sure how the will hold up. Very disappointed. If I'm not contacted by the company I will be returning.6 month update: The company contacted me and said to not put in the dishwasher. So I haven't. We hand wash them. It's only myself and my husband using these most of the time. I have added a picture of the color coming off. I can't imagine how they would look if I had these when I was raising my kids and there was a lot more wear and tear on them. After two months we started noticing that the candy Apple red finish on the handles was chipping away. Look closely at the pictures and you will see. You can easily chip them further with your fingernails. We followed directions and NEVER put them in the dishwasher. We always cleaned them by hand with a sponge as per directions.. We take care of our possessions and stored these carefully back into the wood block. Not what we expected from this company.
