I have bought many pumpkin pancake brands looking for the perfect pumpkin pancake. If a pumpkin flavor is what you are after, then pass on this pancake. But, if you can do without much pumpkin flavor and just want a good tasting pancake then buy this mix.It really does have a pleasing taste. It tastes like a pancake with just the right hint of chocolate from the chocolate chips. The chocolate flavor is complimentary and does not overwhelm the pancake, which I like. To make it, you just add an egg and some melted butter.I would purchase them again if I wanted more chocolate chip pancakes, but if I crave pumpkin pancakes I would try another brand. Sometimes we add a can of pumpkin to our pumpkin pancakes, but I have not tried that with this mix yet. For pancakes, they're fine, not too different than your standard Bisquik pancakes. The chocolate chips are present in the perfect quantity, not too few, not too many, and they taste good. However, the mix is really lacking in the pumpkin flavor its advertised as. In fact, if the box didn't have a sticker on it that said pumpkin, I would have figured it was just plain. Also, there is no nutritional information for the pumpkin blend on the box (just for other types, like plain, blueberry, etc.). In all honesty, I will stick with Trader Joe's pumpkin pancake mix from now on. Its cheaper, and actually has pumpkin flavor.
